Dough is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Dough app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data and prioritize your privacy:

  • Local-only data: Your financial data (transactions, balances) is stored securely on your device and never leaves it unless you export it manually.
  • Plaid integration: We use Plaid to allow you to link your bank and credit card accounts. Plaid securely accesses your account and transaction information on your behalf. We never access or store your login credentials. You can view Plaid's privacy policy at plaid.com/legal.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat collects anonymized app user IDs and purchase receipts solely for the purpose of subscription validation. You can view RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/legal.
  • Firebase: We use Firebase to securely store Plaid access tokens. These tokens are anonymized and only used to sync account balances and transactions. No personally identifiable or financial data is stored. You can view Firebase's privacy policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is only used to power app features that help you stay informed about your finances. We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Data Security

We use modern security best practices to keep your information secure. All data transferred between Dough and Plaid, RevenueCat, or Firebase is encrypted. Sensitive data such as access tokens are always encrypted and stored securely.

4. Your Control

You can disconnect your financial accounts or delete the app at any time to stop data syncing.

5. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by updating this page with a new effective date.
